What is Wina and what do we do?
Wina is a student association based on the faculties: Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics and Additional courses at KU Leuven.
Wina organises the so called CuDi that ensures that you can get your textbooks easily and cheaply and numerous fun activities throughout the year. Examples of these activities are the famous Winabar (every Wednesday evening), food stands on campus, cantuses, LAN parties, the baptism and hazing of the freshmen, and so on.
Together with the other unions of science studies we have the course service where you can buy your books as cheap as possible!
Wina also delegates students to the POC (Permanent Education Committee). This determines, among other things, which courses are included in the program and what the content of these courses is. Basically the POC gives a voice of the students themselves, incase they have something to say about the education and the courses they are following.
To sum it up, at Wina you will always have a good time! So definitely come visit one of the activities.
