Wina

Wina is the official student organization for the students of Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics at KU Leuven. The Wina student is an experienced problem solver and a critical thinker. Together with a strong work ethic and a unique mulitifaceted profile our student can work in a variety of fields. Our students are curious by nature and have learned to analyse the world around them enabling them to make carefully reasoned actions.

Public Relations

Inside the management of Wina there is a seperate department called Public Relations. We keep busy by searching for appropriate companies with opportunities for our young talent. Our team effectively tries to be the bridge between the workfloor and student life in the hopes to guarantee a bright future for our students. Specifically, we organize networking events and workshops together with our partners and promote interesting events and job-offers for these companies.

Events

Public Relations organizes a variety of interesting activities during the year where you can get to know our students in an interactive and convival way. In the first semester we often organize a workshop with a theme like interviewing, LinkedIn or resumes. A few weeks after that we host our annual Network Night.

This evening is organized in such a way that students can meet our partners for the first time in an accessible way. Students and ambassadors enjoy a snack or a drink together. They chat about possible career options and passions, so you know exactly who to send a follow-up email.

In the second semester another workshop is organized, also with a career related topic. This is then followed by the Scientica Jobfair. This is our biggest networking event where, together with the 4 other science organizations from KU Leuven, we invite all our students to meet our partners for a second time.

A lot of students come to this event knowing in the backs of their head that they will graduate in a couple of months and they want to have a look at all the possible options before making a decision. This is a perfect opportunity to create a long lasting impression with our young talent.

Promotion

Public Relations also offers a few interesting promotion channels to companies that want to give spread events, job-offers or messages with our students. Depending on the content of the message or the goals behind them we would find a fitting channel for you and your company. This varies from Facebook, Instagram to e-mail, posters, or our weekly newspaper the 'Winagenda' and a variety of other options too!
