If you are not from Leuven or if you don't know Leuven well, it can indeed be a bit tricky when you don't know your way around. But, as you can see, this page will explain just that. In addition to the explanation that can be found here, you will also have a tour of the campus on the first day. On top of that we will be organising activities to go to the Oude Markt, the first Winabar and the first cantus together. So you certainly won't get lost!
Campus
The science campus is Campus Arenberg III, Celestijnenlaan 200, 3001 Leuven (Heverlee). Each building is indicated by a letter, a map of the building can be found below. On campus there is a map near the entrance (at the traffic lights). If your timetable says, for example, 200K, that means that you have to be in Arenberg III in building K. The campus is not that big, so it will normally not be a problem to find the right building. Otherwise you should certainly not be afraid to ask someone where you have to be. Everyone has been a freshman! If you want to go from the station to the campus, you can take bus 2 or 616.

Overslept and no time for breakfast? Or do you not fancy boring sandwiches? Then you've come to the right place at "De Moete"! Here you can go for tasty sandwiches, panini's, soup and pastries. De Moete is located on the campus, on the corner between buildings A and K. You can find Alma Quadrivium underneath aula Rosalind Franklin in the Quadrivium building, at the back of the campus.

If you're a bit more hungry, Alma 3 is the place to be! In the Alma you can get hot meals for a very good price. Ideal for a student budget! The restaurant itself is on the top floor, but there is also a sandwich bar on the ground floor. From the campus you can reach the Alma 3 in a few minutes. Just cross the Celestijnenlaan at the traffic lights and follow the path through the forest.

The bar starts at 10 pm and continues until the early hours. Great music, beers for 1.20 euros and lots of ambiance! Simply said, the Winabar is the place to be! The first two weeks EJW organises a pre-bar activity on Wednesday so that we can go to the Winabar together afterwards. Definitely check it out!

The Winagang is located in the Arenberg Student District (these are the student flats around the Alma), block 4 "Annapoerna" on the ground floor. A few members from the praesidium, including the preses and vice preses and some responsible people, live here. You might have to he at the Winagang for a couple of reasons, such as ordering or picking up a department sweater. Just ring the bell and they will come and help you!
The Winaliving is located under the Winagang, in the basement. Sometimes activities take place here and you can also rent the place and organise things yourself, such as a movie night. All you have to do is send an email to material@wina.be to rent the space, it is completely free!

The "Theokot" (not really a kot, no one lives here) is a sandwich shop of VTK (Flemish Technical Circle, student association of civil engineers) during the day, but in the evening it is also used for LAN parties, karaokes or other activities. So it's always good to know where it is. The Theokot is located in the Kasteelpark Arenberg under the 'Thermotechnical Institute', it is the building with number 40. The entrance is on the right side of the building (if you're looking from the path to the building).
